[Week13 Extra] Compare opinions of two bloggers

I found two different opinions in my classmates’ blog. Haeiniie said that the best way of learning about life is through personal experience, but Heeji said that the best way is learning from advice.

One different thing that I found out is a view of personal’s life. Haeiniie said our life is not similar to the other people. The reason is that everyone has their own life, but Heeji said we have a similar experience in our life. So, it allows people to reduce the chance of mistakes to learn from the other people, but she focused on young people. She said that the advice from their parents could help young people before making the decisions, but it seems to me that Haeiniie focused on all people from young to old people.

It was good time to compare opinions of two bloggers. It gives a chance to rethink my opinion.

 Haeiniie's blog. 

She said that the best way to learn about their own life is through personal experience, not listening advice from the other people. She said two reasons. One reason is that we were from different world. It means everyone has their own life. So, we can’t say everyone feel same thing if they get in trouble from same situation. The other reason is that we never learn about a life lesson until we get experiences that give a lesson.

I agree with her. The best way of learning about own life is through personal experience. However, it can’t be all for learning about life lesson. For me listening to advice from the other people is also important. So I think we need to consider two of them. 

[Week 8] How to make pancakes

 I think it was not good about quality. There are three reasons. First of all, there was no explain specifically to make a pancake step by step. Second, they didn't take a shot with cook. They just took a shot to show cook's hands. It was not interesting. Last,

they didn't finish their cook. 

 There is main steps as below.

1. Places 40g sugar, 165g plain flour and pinch of slatinto a large.

2. Mix with a wooden spoon.

3. Add 4 eggs, 60g unsalted butter, 50ml whole milk.

4. Mix all of things until it became smooth.

[Week 12 Extra] What do you want most in a friend?

Speaking of friend, I feel like sorry about it. When I was 5, I had friends who lived in my neighborhood. We used to hang out together well playing a soccer, basketball and the other sports. I definitely can say it was good old days in my life, but it was totally changed when we were in middle school students. The most of them went to the other city. It made us couldn’t hang out together, but I got along well with the other friends from middle school. I had no idea what made me didn’t feel like I couldn’t open my mine to my new friends. I felt a weird whenever I was being with them.

In my childhood, I learned a lesson. The best friend for me is to make me in good mood wherever I do. If you are in good mood with friends, I can have a lot of fun and we can have a lot of new experience going to new place, playing new sports things like that. The reason why I don’t need to care my friends whether the new thing is good or not.

Second, it can be good if we have a lot in common. It makes us can have a good conversation. We can learn about a life from each other during our conversation. It would be very helpful.

 Friend is very important. In the end of this essay, I feel like I have to say thank you to my friends. 

[Week12] The best way of learning about life

Have you ever solved a problem when you think it seemed like you couldn't handle by yourself in your life? In our life, we always get in trouble whether or not you want. What would you do for handling a problem as usual? It’s safe to say that the ways to solve the problems can narrow down to two things. One thing is that we can listen to an advice of the other people. The other thing is that you just handle the problems by yourself and then you can learn about life through your experiences. For me, I have a one person who can ask my problem to him. He is my teacher in my church. I always ask him ‘what should do I do?’ when I get in trouble or I have to choose just one thing. He always gave me the best choices. But even though he give a lot of choices that I can choose, in the end it is my job to choose just one thing. I prefer to learn about life through my experience. What makes me prefer it?

For one thing is that we are still young. It means that if you do something else that you choose, it end up with failing, but it is not late to do some the other thing. If you do the other thing after your fail, you can do the thing well with your experience.

The other thing is that you can learn well about life through your experience more than listening to an advice of your friends or family. Having a experience can be more effective on your life.

But there is a negative impact for learning about life through your experience. It will take a long time to learn about life.

 To the bottom line, I can say the ways learning about life through my own experience and listening to an advice of family and friends are good. 

[Week11] THE KOREAN WAVE

  "THE KOREAN WAVE, HALLYU" Ring a bell? We can call it “popularity of South Korean culture.” Nowadays, a singer, PSY is a hot issue among all around the world. You can hear his song when you are walking on the street in the other country. When was the first time that the word, THE KOREAN WAVES, came out? Let’s back to the history. In 2000, a singer, BOA’s album was sold a million copies in Japan, and a drama, Winter Sonata, got a huge success in Japan in 2001. Recently Psy’s song “Gangam Style” was a worldwide mega hit. Like this, Korean entertainment companies started going around the world. What makes foreigners crazy about THE KOREAN WAVE?  There are two things. One thing is that HALLYU is suitable the tastes of foreign audiences. The other thing is that Korean entertainment use of social media to reach a wider audience. That kind of receipts makes them crazy about THE KOREAN WAVE. If you are a korean, you should proud of yourself.

[Week10] How could Chongshin University or the students be kinder to the environment?

  

   In the world, to protect the environment is becoming big issue. Because our plant is changing. We need to help it change for the better. As a student from Chongshin university, we should protect our planet. The bible say "So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Good blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth. GENESIS 2 : 21 - 22. As you saw, the God gave a privilege to be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth. But, now, we destroy all them. As a christian we should protect them.

" 1. Lights out! Turning lights off when you're not in the room (make sure no-one else is too!) can save a lot of energy.

2. Save it! All of the electricity saving tips in the above section will also help reduce pollution.

3. Reduce your mileage eating food and drinking drinks produced in the UK reduces the carbon footprint of your diet. This means that you are helping to reduce pollution! Look at the for little red tractor on products in your supermarket

4. Get your teeth into it We brush our teeth twice a day and by turning the tap off while we brush we can save 5-10 litres of water. If every adult in the UK did this then we’d save enough water for 500,000 homes. So, kids - let’s show them how it’s done!

5. Save trees Save trees by recycling your own paper. Paper with a clean side can be made into notepads with a simple staple or a hole to tie a piece of string. These are great for doodles and notes. If you are buying paper, buy recycled paper."

[Week9] Review (Ted Lecture)

Who was the speaker? : Richard St. John

What were the speaker’s main points? : Success isn't one-way street, it is a continuous journey.

Would you recommend the lecture to another student? Yes, because we always struggle to achieve a success. It makes them are depressed if they can't achieve their goal. What it worse, they always focus on their goal, not a process. There is no pleasure on their journey. I would like to recommend them this lecture. After they watch this lecture, I hope they learn this principle.

[Week7 Extra] I am dreaming to be......

I am dreaming to be English teacher in middle or high school. Honestly, I didn’t have a plan to be something in the future when I was 20. I was someone who follows the crowds whatever I did, and I just spent my early 20s’ life hanging out with my friends, and I became a military. During my military service, I can have a lot of time to think something, and I decided to be teacher in public school.

Before I entered this university, I didn't care what subject is. Now is also. The important thing for me is that the way how to teach, what to teach students. In our society, students got stuck with a pressure to get a good job or make a lot of money. It makes them have to study hard and they have to beat the other students in a competition. If things go on, a lot of bad things is happened for them like suicide. I would like to teach them a love, distribution and how to give away what they have to the other people just as with God.

 It will be difficult to keep up with what I said if I became a teacher, but I will try it over and over again.

[Week6 Extra] I admire him

Ring a bell  a story of 'RICK AND DICK HOTY'?

  Rick was born to Dick. Due to a lack of oxygen to his brain, Rick was diagnosed as a disabled person. He can't walk, move and speak well. There is nothing to do without his father, Dick.
  Someday, Dick said to his father " Father, I really wanted to run" Dick decided to take a marathon game with his son sitting on the wheelchair. And they made it.
To avoid a along explanation, I would like to show you a video clip.

  It is hard to write that love into a word. The great power of love... I could feel the God's love when I saw this video clip at first and it touched me. And I was thinking in the back of my mind that It can be possible? If I get married and have a son, can I make like that love? To be honest with you, I don't know..So, I admire him as a father.  

[Week5] Film Reivew

                          Hello! Ghost!

  I would like to introduce a Korean film named Hello! Ghost that I watched. I needed to do something else while I was having a break time. And I found one thing to watch a film! At a first glance, it seemed like such a comedy film looking on the movie post. But it was not. At the end of the film, I was in tears. To be honest, I was crying. This movie is well-directed. There was main character named Cha Tea-Hyeon acting was so great.

   It started with just one of man who is struggling his life but it ended up with a warm family. I couldn’t expect the end of this story. You can have a fun with the other characters. They have their own strong personality. And if you were in summer, it is good to you watching this film. Because there were a lot of ghosts except for main character. In a way, they are very cute ghost. I bet you will like them even though they are ghosts.

  If you get in trouble with your family and if you start to hate your family, please try to watch this film. It can be very helpful to feel family’s warm love. 

[Week4 Extra] What I learned in the other class

 I am going to talk about what I learned in the other class. He recommend us reading a book named  'THE MAN WHO PLANTED TREES' during a class in high school.

 The main story was that a man who planted trees was keeping on his work for around 50 years. He ended up with a huge of forest in a desert. And then, a lot of people started gathering in there. There is no reason what makes him planted trees in his whole life. At the end of the class, teacher  encouraged us keeping our work like him with patience. And then you will end up with a success whatever you do. The words touched me. Until now, the lesson is in my life. 

[Week4] Travelblog

I was trying to think of the place around Chongshin University when I checked this week homework, there was nothing to post on somewhere. Because I had no experience to go around Chongshin too much. I am going to talk to you another place that I went.

 When I was 23 years old, I went to the city of Busan during my vacation. I took on the KTX about 3 hours. As you know, Busan is well known a port city. I could see a sea wherever I went. I loved it. There were a lot of delicious foods like Susie, a soup made from pork and Pork’s leg. I ate all kind of things as much as possible.

 I recommend you stay a hotel nearby a bridge named Gwangan. By a night, you can see beautiful lights on the bridge. It’s amazing. Also, I recommend you go to sauna nearby sea. In there, you can see the sea. It is one-of-a-kind sauna. The most interesting is that I went to beach with a snack. If I pick a piece of snack up, you are surrounded a bunch of seegull. It was exciting!

 To avoid long explanation, just go there and enjoy that place! You never disappoint to go there.

[Week3] Thank you! My sister.

Hello, my sister.

I am HeeJun who is your younger brother. I got a chance to write a letter to someone. I decided to write a letter to you. It’s been for a while since I gave you a letter. I bet you are having a weird feeling when you get this letter. You are going to marry and live in other country. It just left 5months. So I was thinking in the back of my mind that I will write letter to you when I cheched my homework. I think your boyfriend is good people. I believe your husband is going to take care of you very well. No wonder I can’t hang out with you after you are in Canada? In a way, it will be sad but I will be getting used to not hang out with you. By this time, it will be fine.

 As a child, we were having a hard time to get along well together. Do you remember it? We were keeping home out with underwear for two hours because of arguing. It seems to me that, in a way, it was one of our good old days.

 I am always thankful to you. You tried to take care of me when we were in home without our parent even though you was also kid. Let’s keep in touch I hope everything is coming along great.

[Week2 extra] My last weekend.

I am gonna write about what I did last weekend. I tried to take a break last Saturday. I got up lately in the morning.And then I started to feel kind of guilty. Because I didn't try to learn English. I didn't feel like it. So, it made me looking for some English movie. I found one on the Internet. The movie name was 'Diango'. It was kind of action movie. One of black man try to find his wife. He met one man who has white face and is a bounty hunter. They are getting along well with each other. And...  I am not goona be spoiler. Please, try to watch the movie if you are interest in the movie! After that, I tried to go to sleep again until next morning. I have no idea what made me trired. I guess nowaday is in the begining of the semester. Next early in the morning, I went to church and worshipped God.

[Week1] My first blog post.

Hello you guys! My name is Yoo HeeJun.

 I took a year off from my college. And then I came back to here now. So I am very happy to see you guys in writing class. I live in Bucheon. Have you been there? There is nothing special but I am gonna guid you if you want to come around my city!

 I spent my vacation learning English, working at caffee, guesthouse and then I set out on a trip to Toronto in Canada and NYC in U.S.A. for fun. It was my first time to go around here and there in other country. It was really fun! Learning English in my life is ongoing challenge. Writing class can be a very helpful! I will do my best in the class.

 I like to play a soccer and basketball. But I have no chance to do it nowadays. And chicken is at my top of list. Let's have a bunch of chickens if you guys love it.
